Kromski Harp ready to weave!!

Okay, my Christmas present was a brand new Kromski Harp rigid heddle loom. I’m smiling just writing about it. I am not really in the mood to write. Here are the facts: I measured a warp for 3 cotton napkins plus 10 extra inches for a sample. Tried 3 different yarns on the sample, cut it off, washed and dried it. Now, I’m ready to weave. The pictures tell the story.

Hello from South Dakota! I am a new weaver. I have woven a little bit before, but always was frustrated with the outcome. I borrowed a Beka Rigid Heddle loom with a stand and it worked fine, but I really didn’t have time for it at that time in life. Then I bought a Kromski Harp and actually wove one sample on it. But, alas when we downsized into a townhouse the frame for the Kromski disappeared leaving only one heddle, and the shuttles. For Christmas my husband got me a 20″ Beka Rigid Heddle which I am about to warp for a scarf from storebought yarn. I have a handspun yarn project in mind, but must finish the spinning first!
I am looking forward to seeing your projects progress!
